Pan Desuyo!
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Pan Desuyo! is effectively bread in a can. It was created with the help of a pastry chef named Eiji Kato. Pan Desuyo! (This is Bread!) is manufactured by a group of six physically disabled residents of the Nagoya Light House Kowa dormitory. The factory they use was completed in early April in Nagoya's Koei district.
This innovative product came about because of the idea that canned food is perfect for emergency situations because of its long shelf life. Kato was able to create a product without preservatives or additives that would stay fresh in a can for three years.
Pan Desuyo! comes in three varieties; chocolate chip; raisin and fruit; and a coffee, fruit and nut concoction.
