[edit] 2006 Campus Accountability Ratings

On August 1, 2006 Pampa High School received a campus ranking of Academically Unacceptable under the Texas Education Agency's accountability ratings system for the 2005-2006 monitoring period. A ranking of Academically Unacceptable is the lowest possible ranking an individual campus or district can receive. This was Pampa High's first time to receive the ranking of Academically Unacceptable.

The Texas Education Agency's 2006 Accountability Manual, and ยง39.132 of the Texas Education Code state that campuses which receive Academically Unacceptable rankings for two consecutive years face increasing levels of state intervention; including the possible appointment of special campus intervention teams, or possible reconstitution of the campus.

During the 2005-2006 monitoring period Austin Elementary and Travis Elementary received Recognized rankings. The remaining campuses in the district were ranked Academically Acceptable.

The 2007 TEA accountability rankings will be released on August 1, 2007.
