Pamela Gregory (1949 - November 7, 2006) was the first female dolly grip.[citation needed] The position of dolly grip is almost exclusively held by men, even as late as 2006, the year she died.
Gregory worked mostly in the television industry. For the last five years of her life she worked for producer Patricia Fass Palmer as dolly grip on the set of Gilmore Girls.
She worked on the 1988 films Die Hard and Beetlejuice -- starring Michael Keaton; on the 1989 Batman film, also starring Michael Keaton.
Her television credits include the popular sitcom Friends; St. Elsewhere and Remington Steele.
