[edit] "Changing vote"

So much for really trying to compromise on the issue, just jump on the bandwagon instead? I guess it was a waste of time of me trying to make you see things from another perspective, as it clear that you feel the need to push whatever way you want things done and you really don't care to be open to other viewpoints of someone a little closer to the issue.--Lowg 05:41, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Football League First Division

Given the high number of incoming links to that page, I think you were far too hasty in redirecting it to FA Premier League, with no prior consultation on the talk page. I have reverted your edit and started a discussion on Talk:Football League First Division. Perhaps you could be so good as to revert your recent changes to wikilinks to avoid redirects, until the matter is settled? Qwghlm 07:17, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

OK, don't worry too much, I'll try doing some of the linkfixes myself - FAC work is hard (and I should know!), and I've just made your task harder with a load of additional objections (sorry). Qwghlm 16:11, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Think I've sorted all (well 99%) of the linkfixes out now. Qwghlm 23:24, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] FAPL

I agree, it's trickt - I don't like that kind of graphics-dependent infobox for that reason (there are also accessibility issues at stake). I understand your problem with too many tables; since you're suggesting on Talk:FA Premier League to remove the all-time table, I would remove that and replace it with the list of champions, or even get rid of it altogether and just have a "Please see" link to English football champions. Qwghlm 09:01, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] FAC Article

Nice job. It's much better now. I have noted it in the nomination. --GoOdCoNtEnT 21:42, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] FAPL FAC

I've added a little more on pre-FAPL TV revenues (had found them out while researching a rewrite of Match of the Day), and added some references in. There is one unreferenced statement which I think needs backing up, which I have labelled as such and made a note of in the FAC - fix that and I'll happily support. Qwghlm 23:34, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Barnstar

Barnstar moved to user page

Thanks for the kind comments. You fully deserve the barnstar. Oldelpaso 21:05, 13 August 2006 (UTC)
And thank you for your barnstar. Very buch appreicated! Qwghlm 22:47, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Premier League table

I thought it would have been good to bold the points column right after the club's name since that is the most important stat in the league. Kingjeff 19:51, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

Check out the Football League standings and see how you like it. Kingjeff 20:26, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] 06/07 Champions League

The current champions League results page is too big for the main article. If you really want scores, do something simple. Kingjeff 18:55, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Consensus has been over ride because of the size of the page. Kingjeff 18:59, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

Yes. Keep it simple. Just add scores and let the other page have match details and standings. Kingjeff 19:00, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New baseball article improvement drive

Baseball Greetings fellow WikiProject Baseball member! Just a quick note: there is now an article improvement drive just for baseball-related articles at WP:BBAID. Please take a look and vote on an article or add one of your own. Once an article has been agreed upon, feel free to stop by and lend a hand in getting it to featured article status. Hope you can participate! —Wknight94 (talk) 00:05, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Red Sox GA

Oh, I didn't know there was a nomination process. The page describing this wikiProject should give a condensed version, to simplify everything and calrify. Sorry about that. aido2002 02:00, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Premier League Fixtures

You Wrote

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that future Premier League fixtures are copyrighted (see here). Only results can be posted. For now I simply removed the offending material (which can easily be retrieved from the history once the matches are completed). - Pal 20:44, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Thnx for the info. I'll make sure to not add them untill the week they happen --Jaysscholar 21:09, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AfD note

Thanks, I had indeed missed that point, so I changed the AfD closure. Mangojuicetalk 02:02, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Peterborough United badge.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Peterborough United badge.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. [edit] Unspecified source for Image:Kit_body_thinyellowsides.png

Thanks for uploading Image:Kit_body_thinyellowsides.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 12:12, 14 March 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 12:12, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia talk:Notability (people)#Regarding notability of Football (soccer) players

Hi, seeing you are interested in football this is an invitation to contribute to this discussion to clarify certain issues about football player notability. I think clearer guidelines are needed to avoid repeated inappropriate nominations for deletion and time consuming discussions. Cheers! StephP 19:58, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
