Palm Beach Phantoms
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Palm Beach Phantoms were a team in the National Indoor Football League. Formed in time for the 2006 season, the Phantoms were scheduled to play their home games at the Delray Beach Tennis Center in Delray Beach, Florida. However, they actually never played a game there because of a contract dispute. With no home field, the team had to cancel/forfeit all of its home games, after which the appropriately-named Phantoms disappeared.
A new indoor football team, the Palm Beach Waves, are scheduled to play in 2007.
