Palay Khan, was a freedom fighter and Chief of freedom fighter's group, fighting against British Raj, in 1930s, at Balochistan, Pakistan. Ethinically, he was Pakhtun.
He never surrendered nor lost but he was captured after a betrayal, as he was called upon for a cease fire between his group and British Raj against some compensation (Britishers promised him that they are going to free his land) , that was announced for Mandokhel, the main area of his struggle.
Bollywood, also has a movie Palay Khan, as a tribute to his freedom fight.
Directed by Ashim Samanta Produce by Shakti Samanta The movie is set in the times when the Britishers ruled India. The whole of Hind was under their rule except for a small portion, which always gave the Britishers a tough time.
This land is protected by Palay Khan (Jackie Shroff) and his gang. General Barnes (Anupam Kher), orders Col. Gulbaz Khan (Shakti Kapoor), to get that land for him.
But they realise that Palay Khan always is two steps ahead of them. The movie has good cinematography and performances.
