Palais Rohan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Palais Rohan is the name of the Hôtel de Ville, or City Hall building, in Bordeaux, France. In former times it was the Archbishop's Palace. Parts of it date back to medieval times though it has been improved at various times over the years. Its present appearance is due to renovations in 1771 by Archbishop Ferdinand-Maximilien Meriadec de Rohan (hence the name). Parts of it are now a Museum of Fine Arts.
