[edit] Stealing chromites from Afghanistan
Considering the grade and the weight of the ore it seems rather unlikely that a mining operation in Pakistan was involved in stealing ores from Afghanistan. The link to the Pahjwok Afghan News also does not list Pakistan Chrome Mine Ltd., but rather lists Pakistan's Ministry for Mines. I can see Pakistan prospecting the region for ore bodies, as many areas of Afghanistan are poorly understood for their mineral wealth. Also Pakistan is greatly expanding its geological surveys of southwestern Pakistan, although, again, it seems rather dangerous and potentially not too feasible. It seems rather speculative to the utmost degree. Are there additional news resources about this? Can it be better established or reported in a more neutral way, as the distant speculation it appears to be? Also, are there general articles about chromite mining in Pakistan?
Why does the word "chromite" run into the next word, the links? Is this my monitor, or does it look like this in others? Other articles don't look like this. KP Botany 01:56, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
