Pakenham, Ontario is a community of about 2,000 people located in the rural town of Mississippi Mills. Prior to 1998, Pakenham was located in Pakenham Township. In that year Pakenham Township was merged with Almonte and Ramsay Township to create Mississippi Mills. Pakenham remains one of three wards of Mississippi Mills.

The small community is located just to the west of Ottawa on the bank of the Mississippi River it is north of Almonte and south of Arnprior.

The area is best known for Mount Pakenham, a popular skiing location, and the famous five arch stone bridge across the Mississippi. Built in 1901, it is the only five arch stone bridge in North America.
