[edit] Plot

[edit] Party Plans

Pee-wee is seen walking down the stairs carrying a pair of pajamas. He asks Magic Screen to get the secret word while he changes for a pajama party. He winks at the audience and goes to change. Magic Screen wheels over to Conky 2000, unplugs him from the wall, and flips the switch, bringing Conky to life. He says, "Conky 2000, ready to assist you, Magic Screen." Magic Screen asks for the secret word. A piece of cardstock pops out Conky's midsection, with the secret word on it. This week, it's WATCH. Magic Screen grabs the card, shows it to the viewers and reminds them what to do when someone says the secret word, and then tries it out on Pterri:

MAGIC SCREEN: "Hey, Pterri."
PTERRI: "Yes, Magic Screen?"
MAGIC SCREEN: "Do you know what time it is?"
PTERRI: "Don't be silly, you know I never wear a watch!"

Pee-wee is then seen with Weiner Dog pajamas, a red and white robe, and "house"-shaped shoes. He runs over to Magic Screen and asks if it got the secret word. Magic Screen replies, saying the word, and everyone screams. Mr. Window tells Pee-wee that "the most beautiful woman in Puppetland" has arrived, also known as Miss Yvonne. She enters the Playhouse, and Pee-wee notices she's not wearing her pajamas, but rather her normal pink poodle skirt dress. She says she is going to change later on into her hostess pajamas, which Pee-wee flirtatiously replies with "Hmmm... Can I watch?" and of course, everyone screams. Yvonne blushes at this. Then Clocky asks Pee-wee to guess what time it is. Pee-wee doesn't know, so Clocky informs him that it is "time to do the puppet dance!"

[edit] Puppet Dance

Pee-wee and Miss Yvonne are seen, with their heads on top of puppet versions of their human bodies. The puppets dance to music for a few minutes, then they return to the playhouse.

PEE-WEE: "Boy, puppet dancing sure is fun!"
MISS YVONNE: "I just love that puppet energy!"
PEE-WEE: "Me, too. Hey! While we catch our puppet breath, why don't you catch up on the latest from Penny?"

A Penny cartoon is shown.

[edit] Wrong Number

When the Penny cartoon ends, Pee-wee and Billy Bologna are seen. Pee-wee is putting pajamas on Billy, and putting his feet through the holes. "There now Billy, aren't those nice pajamas?" he asks. Billy says, although it's Pee-wee doing his voice, "Yes! Thank you!"

The Picturephone rings, and Billy says he will get it. But Pee-wee says that "No, sorry Billy, I'll get it." When he enters the Picturephone, he pulls down a curtain with the painting of a desert. Pee-wee pulls the lever, puts on a fez hat and speaks into the tin can handset. However, it turns out the caller is a man in a hat ordering pizza, a couple of root beers, and a sundae. Pee-wee plugs his nose and tells the man in a nasally voice to "please check the number again and be sure you are dialing correctly." He laughs and hangs up, removing the hat while and says with a laugh, "I love wrong numbers!" He exits the phone booth.

Now Pee-wee decides to pay a visit to his Ant Farm. He walks to the farm and says, "Hello ants!" The ants appear to be having a pajama party of their own. Two ants are fighting with pillows, and feathers float up and form the words "PILLOW FIGHT".

Yvonne is then seen in her hostess pajamas: tight, shiny, gold pants (the only outfit in which she wears pants) and top, a see through, thin jacket, and white, furry slippers. Pee-wee turns to look, his mouth gaping. Dirty Dog and Cool Cat notice her in awe, while Pterri wolf-whistles. "You're so beautiful I can hardly STAND IT!" says Pee-wee, and Yvonne replies, "Well, maybe you should sit down, Pee-wee." They laugh. Yvonne says "a hostess always has to look her best." Meanwhile, the fish say that "this is going to be some party. I hope we can stay up to watch!" Naturally, everyone screams.

[edit] Party Games

It's evening now. Ricardo, Pee-wee, and Mrs. Yvonne, plus most of the playhouse crew, are playing a ball-bouncing rhythm game. Ricardo is bouncing what is believed to be Pee-Wee's rubberband ball, raising his leg up over the ball each time. He says, "...and we come from BURMA just to sell you BANANAS!" Next it is then Pee-Wee's turn. His chant is "C: My name is CORNY and my wifes name is CUTIE, and we come from CUCAMONGA just to sell you CONFETTI!" Now it's Mrs. Yvonnes turn, but she is using a blue ball. Before she starts her chant, the doorbell rings and Pee-wee goes to answer it. In comes Reba, Mrs. Renee, and Cowboy Curtis. "Why don't you join your hostess, Mrs. Yvonne, for some party games?" Pee-wee asks them. Reba and Mrs. Renee say in unison, "I don't know, why don't we?"

Pee-wee is then pulled aside by Cowboy Curtis, who wants to talk to him privately. He seems to have a problem. After discussing, Pee-wee is surprised to find out that he sleeps in the nude and doesn't have any pajamas! Pee-Wee decides to ask Jambi for help. Jambi appears from his box, and Pee-wee tells him Cowboy Curtis needs some pajamas. Jambi asks Curtis what kind of fashion statement he'd like. Curtis tells him he would like something with a "kind of cowpoke flavor to it". Jambi chants, "Spirits of the tumbleweed, help our friend in need. See him fitted for the night in PJs that are out of sight!" Now Curtis is seen with silk blue pajamas with gold tassels hanging from the arms and legs. Chanting in the background is heard, and Pee-wee exclaims, "Hey, they're doing my dance!" He and Curtis run over to the others and start in, doing a dance oddly close to the dance Pee-wee did in the film Pee-wee's Big Adventure, while singing "He asked her mother, mother, mother, for fifty cents, cents, cents, to see the elephant, elephant, elephant, jump over the fence, fence, fence," etc. Then, seen through Mr. Window is Roger the one-eyed monster from Monster In the Playhouse. Pee-wee lets him in, and Mrs. Renee jokes, "Roger, you party animal you!" Pee-wee comments that "it wouldn't be a party with out you, Rog!" They decide to get ready for bed. The Dinosaur family is seen getting ready for bed, as well.

[edit] The King of Cartoons

Just then, the flowers sing for the entrance of the King of Cartoons. After they finish singing, Pee-wee and the others all run excitedly to the door. Sure enough, the King of Cartoons enters. Pee-wee welcomes him to the pajama party, but is sad to hear that he has left the royal pajamas in the wash. So instead, he leaves them with a bedtime cartoon. He says, as usual, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, friends both with and without pajamas... let the cartoon begin!" Removing the remote from his pocket, he turns on the TV to present the cartoon.

[edit] Dance

When the cartoon ends, Pee-wee and his friends are seen sitting around the TV. They get up and start walking. They walk towards Jambi's box, and Jambi pops out, saying that it's time for the last dance of the evening, adding that it's a slow one and it's ladies choice. The girls thank Jambi, and he then says, "Go for it. Maestro Conky, a little music please." Conky plays some slow music, and the ladies pick a man to dance with: Reba with Ricardo, Mrs. Renee with Roger, and Mrs. Yvonne with Cowboy Curtis, respectively. Pee-wee is left alone, but decides to cut in with Mrs. Yvonne. Curtis allows him, then tells him he's never slept indoors before, that he always sleeps under an open sky. Pee-wee offers him to sleep on the porch, which Curtis agrees to. He then leaves, saying good night to everyone as he goes.

After the last dance, Pee-wee is seen reading a book to his friends. "And he can live with all of us, and be our part-time dog!" Everyone claps, then he says that at their next pajama party, he will read "Part-Time Boy". He decides it's time for everyone to get ready for bed.

[edit] Bedtime

Pee-wee says that if anyone needs a drink of water or go to the bathroom, now would be the time, while the others get into their sleeping bags, responding that they don't need to. Everyone then says their goodnights to one another. Pee-wee gets annoyed and yells, "OKAY, SHUT UP EVERYONE!" Everyone falls silent at this rather rude comment. "G'night," he says, and he lies down.

Reba wakes up and tells everyone it's too bright. Pee-wee says he forgot to turn out the lights, and asks Conky to do it. After the lights are out, Roger starts counting sheep to sleep. Pee-wee asks him to please count to himself. The Cowntess starts snoring, and Mrs. Yvonne takes notice of this. We then learn she was dreaming about jumping over the moon. Reba then gets up. She steps on a few people accidentally, then turns the lights on. Mrs. Renee tells her that she is ruining her beauty sleep. It turns out Reba forgot to take off her watch. Everyone screams. Pee-wee asks if everyone is wide awake. He wants to stay up all night, but Miss Yvonne gets the idea that "we should turn off the lights, and those of us who want to go to sleep can, and the rest of us can talk quietly among ourselves." Everyone says good night once again. Then Pee-wee turns a flashlight onto a wall, and makes shadow forms on the wall with his hand. Ricardo wonders how he does it. Pee-wee is making shadow puppets. Using his hand, he creates a rabbit, a wolf and an eagle, all of which Ricardo translates into Spanish for Pee-wee.

[edit] Midnight Snack

Meanwhile, Mrs. Renee awakens and sneaks into the kitchen. She opens the fridge for a surprise that all the food move. Pee-wee hears the commotion and asks, "Who's in the kitchen?" He gets up and Mrs. Renee says that she is hungry, and so is everyone else. Pee-wee has an idea, and gets leftover fruit salad for everyone. "We're having an indoor picnic in the middle of the night," says Pee-wee.

[edit] Wedding

"Mm, fruity. I love fruit salad!" he says. Everyone naturally replies, "Then why don't you marry it?!" Surprisingly, the camera zooms in on Pee-wee, and for the first time ever in the show, he decides to call their bluff and says, "Alright then... I will." We next see Pee-wee and the bowl of fruit salad wearing a wedding veil. The flowers and the Cowntess are humming "Here Comes the Bride" and Ricardo is the priest. Curiously, Cowboy Curtis doesn't appear during this scene. They exchange their vows, while Miss Yvonne, Reba and Mrs. Renee watch in tears. But just as Pee-wee is about to kiss the fruit salad bowl, he tells everyone, "DON'T WATCH!" After everyone screams, confetti is thrown, and the wedding is over.

[edit] The Next Morning

When the sun starts coming up the next morning, it appears that everyone is asleep but Pee-wee. He tiptoes out of the bathroom, fully dressed in his usual outfit of white shoes, gray suit, white shirt and red bowtie. He tiptoes across the playhouse to the usual place his scooter is. Putting his finger to his lips, he cranks the arm of the statue down, and the hidden door rises, releasing his red scooter. He mounts the scooter, puts on the helmet and says to the audience in a whisper, "I sure enjoyed our pajama party. Right now I'm sneaking out to pick up some things for breakfast before the others wake up. I hope you join us at our next pajama party. Until then... keep tuning in to watch!" Suddenly, the others awaken and scream, as always. Pee-wee then 'scoots' out, and the supposedly locked door swings open, and he flies out of the playhouse, passing Mount Rushmore on his way, as always. The end credits roll.
