Pain of Mind is the debut album from the Oakland, CA. band Neurosis which documents their early stages as a hardcore punk band in the vein of Discharge, Black Flag, Amebix and Die Kreuzen.

It was originally released on Alchemy Records in 1987 and later reissued by Alternative Tentacles in 1994 and Neurot Recordings in 2000.
