This is a list of articles that need attention with concise explanations of the work needed and dates they were originally listed here. See the article "Talk" pages for detailed explanations and discussions of the problems.

[edit] General

  • abc conjecturetalk - This article could use content. It's a very impotant conjecture, but it's quite short and has some non-well-defined terminology. I started to expand it, but I don't know so much about it. CRGreathouse (t | c) 22:44, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Markov processtalk - needs A LOT of work.. it has been replaced by a stub, because the old article was plain bad - grubber 02:19, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
  • Equidistributed sequencetalk - needs a once over by an expert, performed merge. Ste4k 06:19, 15 July 2006 (UTC)
  • Petri nettalk - I expanded a lot on this article. I would like some feedback. I sincerely ask you to please only edit things that you know for sure - the article is about something rather technical. I have, in the past, had big problems with edits made in good faith, but with no understanding of the underlying technicality. THX. Msoos 22:58, 2 June 2006 (UTC)
  • Quantitytalk - A new section quantity in mathematics in this article makes reference to number theory and geometry, among other things. Opinions would be appreciated -- I find it to be largely incomprehensible: e.g. The essential part of mathematical quantities is made up with a collection variables each assuming a set of values and coming as scalar, vectors, or tensors, and functioning as infinitesimal, arguments, independent or dependent variables, or random and stochastic quantities. Holon 08:41, 25 February 2006 (UTC)
  • Information theorytalk - Recent major edits. Needs standard formatting, diagram, cleanup, expert to double-check things.
  • AB Calculustalk - Requires standard formatting, additional information, and proper citation.
  • Plane (mathematics)talk an very poor organization and limited content. I touched] it a bit, but an expert is required to set up the shape of the article. mikka (t) 05:49, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
Created sub-sections for definition and properties, plus tried to make it easier to read. Fuzzyslob 04:57, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
  • Coherent dualitytalk needs wikification of formulas. --141.20.53.108 16:55, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
  • Cohen-Macaulay ringtalk needs wikification of formulas. --141.20.53.108 16:55, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
  • Please also check the links on these pages. Wikipedia is so awfully slow today :-(( Sorry also for posting anonymously, but wikipedia login is fucked up. See bug 1396 on bugzilla. This is not fun. If this does not change soon, this will be my last edit :-(( --141.20.53.108 16:55, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
  • Topological manifoldtalk and differential manifoldtalk Started by User:MarSch in June or July as cut&paste from manifold and abandoned at that. MarSch seems to have no intention to do anything about them, so somebody has to fill in the shoes I guess. Oleg Alexandrov (talk) 04:11, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
  • K-theorytalk: Needs to open up with a definition of some kind. Tompw 12:16, 28 August 2005 (UTC)
    • have moved short def to first sentence --MarSch 12:21, 2 September 2005 (UTC)
  • Ordinary mathematicstalk: The current content is nonsense, needs to be written from scratch (there is a hint on the top). Samohyl Jan 13:45, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
I've rewritten this article as a stub. The original content was about arithmetic. Paul August 16:12, August 26, 2005 (UTC)
Added some info, but it still needs expanding. Added the Expert template. --Army1987 21:40, 31 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Mathematicians

  • John Wallis - Much of this article originally came from http://www.maths.tcd.ie/pub/HistMath/People/Wallis/RouseBall/RB_Wallis.html (which is public domain, so fine to copy,) and the mathematics section isn't very different from what W W Rouse Ball wrote in 1908. I've been trying to make it more readable (quite how I got from RC patrol to this I'm not quite sure, but still...), but the century-old description of his work is confusing me. -- AJR | Talk 23:20, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
  • Theano - Pythagoras' wife and apparently came up with a lot of important stuff like the golden ratio. Certainly her Wikipedia article deserves more than a few sentences!

Simplified definitions somewhat. 130.94.162.64 05:36, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
