  • Hybrid Fibre Coaxial could stand a good strong copyedit (no to mention renaming). I also have a hunch that the terminology in the article is specific to Australia; I know HFC is now the dominant design for cable TV networks in the U.S. among other countries, but I don't know enough about cable TV technology to significantly improve it.   • Telephone - Mess of "related articles" needs subdivision in some orderly manner. (Excellent article cluster; overall revision also needed -- article could be better divided into paragraphs and topics; move to PNA when "related articles" is cleaned up +sj+)
    • Began the process of re-working this article. The actual content in the history section was mostly a massive quote from a circa 1900 project Gutenberg book (Heros of the Telegraph) -- the article needs an introduction which describes what a telephone IS, and some discussion of the various types... Then, we need LINKS to sub-pages for telephone(history) and telephone(signaling) and telephone(Switching). Moreover, a quick Google check reveals that there are "Dalton" schools all over Europe (Netherlands, Switzerland, Austria, wherever), not just in New York City.   • Public library Had some information about the origins of the public library from a now deleted page first public library merged in.   • Mortido - I recently rescued this from VfD. It concerns a term used in psychoanalysis to describe the vital drive which is opposed to Libido. I am not a psychologist, but as far as my researches went, there is no consensus about how to name this: some authors oppose libido to mortido, some to Destrudo, which has also its article in Wikipedia. I believe a specialist should take a look at these pages and improve them: maybe a merge between destrudo and mortido might be advisable. VladMV ٭ talk 03:37, 22 Apr 2005 (UTC)

  • Kent Norman - is this mainly a vanity page? i'm hesitant to prod or afd this article, because i can't figure if this guy meets the notability for a professor or not. he, User:Klnorman, is the creator and main editor of the article, which is what irks me about it.   • Pro-ana This article is kind of a mess right now. It doesn't have any references and I'm not quite sure where to get any. I'm not a psychologist or dietitian and the article could definitely use some information about the pros and cons of pro-ana and links to articles about the subject, so that it can be established who says that pro-ana is dangerous, rather than just "doctors." I think the aims of such institutions need to be laid out and then criticisms/controversies discussed later in the article. It needs much NPOV and untangling.   • Sneeze — No references, few medical and anatomical facts, but lots of superstitions. The article has a history of factual disputes, and even in its current form I find much of its content doubtful. Anyone with a knowledge of sneezing can improve this. --PJF (talk) 11:34, 7 May 2005 (UTC)

  • Pin - The article should not be a "disambiguation page". "Pin" has a primary meaning, namely a small metal spike that is used for fastening together objects such as sheets of paper or fabric. The other meanings are derivative of this. And the page has no discussion of actual pins! Pins have a fascinating history, and are an early example of preindustrial mass production.
    • I did not want to do anything too drastic, since I am new, but I added some information from a book I own, along with a smalll amount from Google, to the "Construction" section. I kept the "in need of attention" notice, so that a more knowledgeable person can add more insight.
      • The notice was removed, but not by me. I think it's fine the way it is, since the first link is to that primary meaning, namely Pin (device). --FreelanceWizard 22:15, 11 July 2005 (UTC)
  • Tape editing - Needs a lot of expansion; right now, it's just a non-wikified list of people that are important in the field. It doesn't say anything about the techniques, important works and why they're important, and the like.
