[edit] IRA bombing
- "The IRA bombed the telephone box outside the police station early one morning in the late 1990s as a demonstration to the British security services."
Can we have a source for that? It sounds dubious because of the vagueness ("early one morning in the late 1990s"), and because the PIRA (which most readers would tend to assume was being referred to) was on ceasefire for most of the late 1990s. 86.138.18.18 14:34, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
- It did happen as I was living there at the time and remember it clearly, but I think it was more like 1990 or 1991, so the sentence should probably say in the early 1990s. I will look for a source. - Solar 20:44, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
