The War of Padmanabham was fought in July 1794 between British Colonel Pendergast sent by the Governor of Madras, John Andrews and The Rajas of Vizianagaram kingdom. China Vijayaramaraju lost his life and the British got their full control over the Vizianagaram kingdom.
