Paddy Agnew was a member of the Parliament of Northern Ireland for South Armagh from 1938 to 1945.

He was also a member of Armagh city and county councils for several years. He came from a Catholic background, but his politics were leaning towards labourism, and he had clashes with more traditional Catholic politicians.
