Paddington Meadows

Paddington Meadows is a nature reserve in Warrington, UK. It was designated in November 2005.
The site comprises almost 30 hectares of meadow grassland lying to the south of Manchester Road (the A50) just five minutes by car from Warrington town centre. The meadows offer a true taste of the countryside within an urban setting.
Cattle can been viewed grazing on the site during the summer months and they play a vital role in keeping the grass short, which in turn encourages ground nesting birds such as skylark. A wildflower meadow has just been created on one of the fields and offers a colourful spectacle.
The site attracts spectacular flocks of fieldfares and redwings, which feed on the berries of some of the oldest and most spectacular hawthorn hedges seen anywhere in the Cheshire area.
