Could someone please update my user page as I get older? My IP address has been blocked indefinitely.

No it hasn't. It was blocked for a week beginning May 19; that block expires tomorrow. Yes, there is an indefinite block in the log, but that was superceded by later blocks and unblocks. However, I suggest you stop vandalizing and actually listen to people, you might go far that way. --Golbez 07:23, 25 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Redirects

Stop adding inane redirects (and creating new pages) for games like Ordyne and Dangerous Seed. Who would actually search for a specific enemy of an obscure arcade game to look for it? Please nominate all these redirects for deletion. Please read Wikipedia:Redirects Thanks --larsinio (poke)(prod) 15:51, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Shoot 'em up

Stop replacing the screenshots in Shoot 'em up with Namco games, and stop adding Namco games to the lists of shoot 'em ups. It takes me only a few clicks to revert your nonsense (which I've done three or four times now), and I WILL revert it every time unless you can provide a good reason for biasing the article. Spottedowl 14:21, 8 June 2006 (UTC)

Namco did not make important shoot 'em ups except for Galaxian/Galaga. Stop pushing POV of Namco by having exclusive pictures on the namco page. Anddo not remove the sockpuppet template from your user page, whether you think its true or not. --larsinio (poke)(prod) 13:30, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
(posted on my talk page) Is it against the law to Namco-ise the article? And everybody knows that Namco is the biggest and best arcade game developing company of all time, who were especially dominant in Japan in the 1980s! They made the first true colour arcade game, the first game to feature synthesized voices, the first game to feature a bonus stage, the first game to have a continue feature, the first vertical scrolling shooter, the first side-scrolling platformer, the first spinoff game to star an enemy character from a previous game and they also made the first 16-bit game. Pac-Man765 07:58, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
It's against the NPOV policy. 'Everybody' does not 'know' this about Namco: that's your opinion. Taito Corporation made Space Invaders, which is widely regarded as beginning the arcade gaming era. Should I replace all the pictures with Taito games? After all, not everyone knows Galaxian, but everyone knows Space Invaders. The answer is no, I shouldn't.
Including nothing but Namco games is biased and unfair. I shouldn't need to be explaining this. Having a spread of games gives people a wider impression of the games industry; it also makes the page look nicer. Some of the Namco screenshots are a little uninspiring. Welcome to User:Gingerfield rocks' Namco fanboy club ;-). EpiVictor 20:16, 14 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Gee Bee family and general nuisance edits

Gee Bee, Bomb Bee and Cutie Q all use a paddle controller. How they're emulated in MAME is irrelevant. Something you don't seem to understand is that these articles are about the actual game, NOT MAME. Stop putting MAME-centric stuff in the game articles. Also changing your username isn't fooling anyone as you keep making the same annoying nuisance edits (i.e. obsession with arcade release dates and MAME, foolish things like "gooey death" in Dangerous Seed, etc). Isn't it obvious by now that people are tired of your constant nuisance edits ? 17:57, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Would some admin please ban usernames Gingerfield rocks, Puckman765, Pac-Man765 and IP address 193.164.112.20 permanently. It is quite obvious that this person will not stop his constant nuisance edits particularly to the Namco games articles. 15:21, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, this user (or users) is an interesting case: excessive Namco and MAME fandom, combined with a vast array of sockpuppets, and each of them displays a different "personality", perhaps trying to generate confusion :-). Apart from the fact that each one of them is IP-identifiable (and all are trackable down to IP 193.164.112.20), Gingerfield rocks and User:193.164.112.20 have very similar writing & reply quotes (e.g.: How the bloody hell am I vandalizing it ?!) and a tendency to reply in awesome bold text, like this one', while Puckman765 and Pac-Man765 have a different, more polite, almost quite opposite style compared to the previous too, perhaps in an attempt to dissociate them from the Gingerfield-style. It could be very well be a single person behind all these, or a team of Namco fanboys *shrug* the autopsy will tell :-) EpiVictor 20:24, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
This is 99.9% certainly the same person as he's making the same types of edits and in some cases the exact same edits as he did as Gingerfield. Also he's adding a lot of unverifiable stuff, for example all of these minor character names (Rompers is a good example). I've never seen this stuff listed anywhere and of course he didn't provide a source and frankly obscure character names really don't add anything to the articles. Another problem is the constant mentions of MAME. While MAME is certainly useful to verify some aspect of an arcade, it shouldn't be mentioned at all since the articles are about a games not an emulator which runs them. For that matter I'd say the commercial emulators are a better reference than MAME since they were sanctioned by the game companies. Anyway is there any reason NOT to ban IP 193.164.112.20 and his three usernames at this point ? He is simply going to continue the cycle of foolish nuisance edits and others will end up reverting them. There is really no point in having this continue any further, the Namco game articles and whatever else he messes with is definitely better off without him.
I think there's little doubt by now: the latest edit to this user's page (NOT the talk page) was made by the infamous IP 193.164.112.20, which leaves little doubt about who is a sockpuppet of who. Anyway, from this point on it's really up the admins to take more effective (...and permanent) measures against User:193.164.112.20 and his numerous sockpuppets .. (or whatever user can be considered the "main" account, anyway). It's quite obvious that all of these users are just (a) Namco fanboys (or a single fanboy)who have (has) mistaken wikipedia for a trolling ground of some sort, will not stop vandalising/trolling and cannot be talked out of it. EpiVictor 13:07, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] More ridiculous edits

This time from IP address 193.164.112.20 - extraneous categories for Pac-Man, Galaga and Xevious even though there are already templates for the game series, irrelevant mentions of license message for Blazer (which has been reverted), senseless removal of detailed info for Dragon Buster (which has been reverted). Also if there's any question that this guy is a vandal, look at the edit log for the John F Kennedy article at 13:00 on June 19 and the edit log for Pac & Pal at 8:42 on April 26 and 10:52 on April 27. I'm surprised that such a Namco fanboy would vandalize a Namco article but that's just more reason to ban him and his array of accounts permanently. 15:06, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

That's because he or she probably inteprets the "Namco religion", assuming there is one, in his/her own way, and he/she's on a sort of Jihad vs all "non-compliant" Namco sources or anyone merely mentioning Namco.I bet this guy also regularly trolls/flames/spams external (non-wikipedia) videogaming forums and sites if they had the unfortunate idea of featuring a Namco game (either with positive or negative reviews/opinions)...and also if they don't ;-) EpiVictor 20:16, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
