On October 2, 1925, the Vidoni Pact, signed between Confindustria and the fascist regime representatives, abolished Catholic, Socialist or independent unions, and replaced them with a fascist-controlled one.

It was signed during Mussolini's Fascist control of Italy and was one of many steps taken to establish his dictatorship.
