Pacific Storm is a strategic and tactical game of pacific war in World War II, released by Buka Entertainment. It promised a somewhat ambitious concept, where players are able to act as supreme commander, which handles research, ship and plane design, production, troop deployment and many other things.

As a tactical game, player can control individual ships and planes, which change the game into real-time strategy and air simulation all at once.

More than that, player can act as an ordinary sailor which man various Anti-aircraft gun position in a ship or act as a various gunner positions in a heavy/medium bombers.

It is released under 1.2 version and plagued with various cases of instability, which cause the game to crash. Patch 1.3 has been released to partially solve the problem of instability and memory leak.

This game has been criticised by many wargamers due to some historical inaccuracies, mostly due to limited types of ships and aircrafts available in the game, for an example the presence of two US Colorado class battleships in Singapore at December 7th,1941, instead of HMS Prince of Wales and HMS Repulse.

The upcoming standlone expansion Pacific Storm:Allies will involve Britain as additional playable faction. It will also introduce non-playable nations such as the Netherlands, Germany, and the USSR.
