Pacific Basin Economic Council (PBEC)

The Pacific Basin Economic Council (PBEC) is a loosely binding economic agreement between certain members of the Pacific countries where different governments and corporations co-operate and discuss their economic affairs. It is an informal agreement which co-exists alongside other multi-lateral agreements such as PECC, PAFTAD and ASEAN and APEC for enhanced economic security and promoting prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.
