Pablo Álvarez Núñez

Pablo Álvarez Núñez (Pablo Alvarez) born 14 May 1980 in Oviedo is a Spanish professional footballer who currently plays as a Right Midfielder for Deportivo. After suffering a serious leg injury, Pablo Álvarez is now being called up more often to Depor's games.
Pablo started his professional career at Sporting de Gijón making his debut in 2001, playing 97 games and scoring 19 goals for Gijón. He earned the nickname Tibu (diminutive of shark- 'Tiburon' in spanish) for his goal celebrations by pretending to have a Shark's fin in his head.
Pablo also parcipitated in the resurrection of Selleción Gallega in December 2005 playing the debut game against Uruguay.
He signed for Deportivo on a Bosman free transfer in 2006.
On February 3, 2007 he played his first La Liga match for Depor against RCD Mallorca [1]
