Pabaiskas

Pabaiskas - is a small town in Ukmergė district of Vilnius County, Lithuania, 10 km south-west of Ukmergė, with 249 inhabitants. There is Holy Trinity Church in the town. In September 1, 1435 here took place Battle of Pabaiskas, when Sigismund Kestutaitis defeated Švitrigaila and his Livonian Order allies.
The name of the town is from polish Pobojowisko which means "battle site".
