PA Sport is the world's leading sports news provider and is part of the PA Group of information companies. At the heart of the PA Group is The Press Association, the national news agency for the UK and Ireland, which was founded in 1868.

Using its network of more than 1500 reporters based across the world and 330 staff at its UK headquarters, PA Sport gathers, processes and delivers high-quality, comprehensive sports editorial, data, sound and pictures on more than 40 major sports around the world, much of it in real-time. Services also include the production of the Actim Index, the official player statistics of the FA Premier League and the Football League, and the Betsettler system.

This information gathered by PA Sport is delivered to a wide range of global customers across all media platforms and in different languages. Customers include newspapers, magazines, TV and radio stations, websites, telecommunications companies and the betting industry.

PA Sport is also the partner of choice for many sport federations and governing bodies, including the FA Premier League.

PA Sport is based in the UK and has offices in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, South Africa and China, with representatives in Japan, New Zealand and Australia.

In October 2005, PA Sport acquired Sportev, the leading wireless sports agency. Now known as PA SportEV, the company builds and implements IP video delivery solutions for the world’s largest broadband networks, mobile networks and sports rights holder customers. PA SportEV is the Official New Media Partner to some of the world’s largest sports rights holders, including the FA Premier League and England Rugby.

In May 2006, PA Sport acquired SportsTicker which is the natural successor to Western Union's original Baseball Ticker, established in 1909. Now known as PA SportsTicker, it is America's leading real-time leading sports news information service provider, covering all major sports for the US sports fan.

In August 2006, PA Sport acquired sports media technology company iKnowledge Ltd. The company delivers data-driven TV graphics systems, sports analytics, games and media content for broadcasters, bookmakers, venues, governing authorities and publishers.
