País bizarro

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

País bizarro (Bizarre Country) is a Colombian right-wing political weblog. It's written by Jaime Ruiz, DieGoth and Wilfredo Moreno since 2004.

País bizarro supports President Álvaro Uribe Vélez administration and policies, and claims that the left-wing party Alternative Democratic Pole is the political branch of the FARC[1].

Ruiz and the other authors have been involved in several controversies regarding their political views and their attitude towards commentators, specially when they don't agree with their views.

In February 2007, Jaime Ruiz was blamed of hacking and deleting several Colombian blogs. Ruiz and some of the affected have denied the claim[2]. After a second attack on March 2007, again blaming Ruiz, they announced the closing of País bizarro[3], a move not yet accomplished but quite criticized at the local blogosphere[4].
