P.K. Winsome is a recurring character on Comedy Central's The Colbert Report, played by former Saturday Night Live cast member Tim Meadows. He is frequently noted for being a political commentator, entrepreneur, and black Republican. According to Stephen Colbert, the 'P.K.' stands for Percy Kittens, which was Tim Meadow's character's name on Strangers With Candy. Much of Winsome's biographical information attempts to skewer current black Republicans. One example of this is that he claims residency in every state so he could run as a candidate. This is a reference to Alan Keyes moving to Illinois so he could run for the U.S. Senate in 2004 against Barack Obama.

P.K. is married to a white woman, and runs "P.K. Winsome's Camp for Young Girls of High Calibre," a 'camp' for attractive women that is purportedly comparable to America's Next Top Model, "except there are no cameras." He frequently attends Republican conventions, where he is always featured on camera owing in no small part to political pandering. An entrepreneur, he runs a variety of businesses, including a pancake outlet and a cellphone warehouse, and has a brand of energy drinks (P.K. Winsome's Energy Drinks) that are "tasty".

Winsome has decided to run for the position of lieutenant-governor (a possible reference to Maryland's former lieutenant-governor, Michael Steele) although he is unsure of which state. In the run-up to the 2006 elections, he campaigned in Harlem, trying to get other African-Americans to vote Republican, stating that "Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan Party" (Nathan Bedford Forrest, Founder of the KKK, was indeed a Democrat). He was unfazed by Michael Richards' racist diatribe, and stated that the phone should have been turned off before the performance began, but was rather shocked that such clear images could be captured by cellphones.
