P. Susheela , popular singer known as Melody queen of India. She is very popular in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. She received National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer 5 times (in 1969, 1972, 1978, 1983 and 1984) in Telugu and Tamil. In 2005. She achieved Special Jury Swaralaya Yesudas Award for outstanding performance in music. She has rendered more than 35000 songs and has the unique distinction of being the duet partner for maximum songs with TMS, Ghantasala and SPB.
