P. J. Soles

P.J. Soles (b. Pamela Jayne Hardon on July 17, 1950 in Frankfurt, Germany) is a German-born American film and television actress. She is not of German descent, as her father was Dutch and her mother was a New Jersey native of Jewish heritage.
Soles was first known as a scream queen. She starred as Norma Watson in the 1976 classic horror film Carrie and as Lynda van der Klok in the 1978 John Carpenter movie Halloween. She later starred as Suzy in the 1979 hit film Breaking Away, as The Ramones' groupie, Riff Randall, in the 1979 cult film Rock 'n' Roll High School, and as an MP in the 1981 comedy Stripes. She also appeared in several television series, including Love Is a Many Splendored Thing, Simon and Simon, Cheers, Airwolf, Knight Rider, and Hardcastle and McCormick.
Soles has been married three times. Actor Dennis Quaid was her second husband. She has two children with her third husband.
