Płowce

Plowce is a small village in the Kuyavia region of Poland. It is best known for the battle of Plowce that took place on September 27th, 1331 between the kingdom of Poland lead by Wladyslaw Lokietek and the Teutonic Knights. Although the winner had not been decided, it stopped the expansion of the Teutonic Order in the Kuyavia region. The battlefield contains a cross and a monument to commemorate the battle.
