Péter Kovács (born 7 February 1978) is a Hungarian footballer currently playing as a striker for Strømsgodset in the Norwegian First Division. He previously played for Újpest FC and Vác FC in Hungary, FC Lahti and FC Haka in Finland, and Tromsø IL and Viking FK in Norway.

Kovács has been capped 10 times for Hungary[citation needed].
