Péter Halmosi (born September 25, 1979) is a Hungarian footballer, playing in midfield for Plymouth Argyle since January 10, 2007.

Halmosi initially joined Argyle on loan from Debreceni VSC until the end of the 2006/07 season, with a view to a £400,000 permanent move at the end of the season [1][2]. Halmosi had been linked to moves to other clubs in the United Kingdom including Celtic FC [3] and Blackburn Rovers [4] prior to his move to Argyle.
Halmosi is a Hungarian International player, having won 11 caps for his country and has previously played alongside Argyle's existing Hugarian player Ákos Buzsáky in the national side. His previous clubs include Haladás Szombathely, Grazer AK and Debreceni VSC.
Péter made his Argyle debut in a 3-1 away win against Norwich City on January 13, 2007.
