Ozgur Uyanik

Ozgur Uyanik is a film director.
First as an executive and then heading the development department at Scala Productions Limited (a company set up by Nik Powell after the collapse of Palace Productions), Ozgur shepherded a twelve-strong slate of films and successfully saw in to production the likes of Last Orders (Michael Caine, Bob Hoskins & Helen Mirren), Black and White (Robert Carlyle, Charles Dance & Kerry Fox), Leo (Joseph Fiennes, Elizabeth Shue, Dennis Hopper & Sam Shepard) and Christmas Carol: The Movie (animated feature voiced by Nicolas Cage and Kate Winslet) for which he was subsequently responsible for selling the worldwide rights to MGM Home Entertainment, acting as the sales agent for The Film Consortium. During this time he also worked on the development of Stoned, directed by Stephen Woolley. He has also sold rights to Black and White and re-licensed The Crying Game amongst other titles in the Palace back catalogue.
Currently he is developing several projects with Scala. He has written and directed several award-winning short films including Oblivious starring Sienna Guillory.
