The Ozark Mountain Daredevils are a Southern rock band formed in 1971 at Springfield, Missouri. They are most widely known for their singles "If You Wanna Get To Heaven" in 1973 and "Jackie Blue" in 1974.

Some have described the band's sound as a "countrified Steely Dan."

Others would say they are a very underrated outfit who have produced some excellent 'southern' styled folk, rockabilly, blues, country, rock, ballads etc. In short, a quality band who still record albums and tour. The "Daredevils" namesake has much to do with the risque long-hair and/or beard styles these fellows wore down South, which was pretty much still conservative regarding the masculine mode of dress in the 1970's.
