Oxford sirens

The Oxford Siren's [1] are a cheerleading squad affliated with Oxford University. They were founded in 2004 by a group of students and competed in the National University Cheerleading competition 2005, in the large dance squad category, coming second. In 2005 they took on men for the first time and had an active squad of approximately 50 students, 4 of them guys. In 2006 they competed at Telford in the national university competition, this time entering three catergories and taking awards in every category;
Co-ed Partner Stunt (4 guys, 1 girl) - silver, out of 8 teams Co-ed Cheer (20 girls, 4 guys) - bronze, out of 7 teams Girls large dance (25 girls) - 4th place
In september 2006 the squad took on a new intake to replace those leaving university. The team are intending to compete again this year at telford.
