Oxford University Cave Club

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Oxford University Cave Club (OUCC) is for "the support, development and promotion of caving and related activities, in the University of Oxford". The club was founded in 1957.

In addition to the traditional university cave club function of training newcomers to the sport, OUCC has a long history of original exploration, especially in the Picos de Europa, Northern Spain, where it has mounted expeditions since 1961. More recently, OUCC has been active in exploration in the UK, especially in Ogof Draenen, South Wales.
