Owen attacks Denise.

Owen is the ex-husband of Denise Fox and father of her youngest daughter, Libby. He arrived in Walford looking for his daughter, who he hasn't seen since Denise divorced and left him, due to his alcohol problem.

Denise slept with Owen, and a couple of days later, he hit her, witnessed by Chelsea and Libby. The following week, Owen held Denise hostage in her flat. After Denise's boyfriend Kevin Wicks and Libby noticed Denise's absence, they called the police and Owen was arrested.

His mother Liz visited him in prison on 14 September 2006. Owen went on trial on September 19, 2006, and received a six month sentence, suspended for two years.

On 26 September 2006, Owen kidnapped Libby and took her to Epping Forest in a car stolen from Kevin's car lot. He drugged her and phoned Denise, telling her that she wouldn't have to worry about them now. He tried to kill himself and Libby by filling the car with noxious exhaust fumes. Libby broke out of the car, and was sick in the forest. When Denise arrived at the forest and called Libby's name, she called back, and Owen grabbed her and tried to drown her in a stream. She fell unconscious, and Owen jumped into the stream himself. Denise arrived to see Libby's unconscious body on the bank of the stream. Owen was revived by paramedics and arrested.
