Owen Lee born 10 March 1985 in Melbourne, Australia. Raised as an only child to a single mother, Georgina Lee, in middle/lower class suburbia Owen spent most of his younger years in a land of fantasy and at a young age discovered the joy of acting and theatre. Starting in The Australian Puppet Theatre at the age of 12 Owen idolized performers such as Jim Henson and hoped one day to be able to bring the world the magic and love that he felt when watching theatre. In 2001 when Owen was 16 he landed his first role on the cult Australian television serious Neighbors. Playing Zack Shaw: A 16 year old Hippy/ Rebel-with-a-cause who catches Ramsey Street local Michelle Scully’s attention and heart and becomes Michelle’s first boyfriend but not first love for problems occur such as he’s distraction by other, more flamboyant, girls. Owen shown throw the normal acting standards that people have come to expect on this Australia soap opera. To start his appearance was far more the look of a typical teenager from the wrong side of the tracks, with his spiked hair and larger the life side burns and facial hair. But not only that, his acting was real. Owen convinced his audience that Zack was a character not to be liked and in the four months that he was on the show viewers felt a real discomfort toward Zack. After his time on Neighbors Owen dedicated the next two years to finishing his VCE studies, and soon after completing Secondary Collage Owen's next roll was one the police drama Blue Healers playing Tylor a petrol station attendant robbed at gun point. Owen went on to study Entertainment Cerficate IV at N.M.I.T in 2004, where he studied about all aspects of theatre including Sound design and lighting design, this is where Owen followed through with his next passion, writing and playing music. Today with the lack of Australian made, non reality, television Owen is focused mostly on his music which is described as whimsical-melancholy-indie-folk-pop-punk-rock. Also in 2006 Owen went to Pennsylvania, USA and taught Drama and theatre to children aged 7 to 16 years old. Owen had great pleaser in this and now is thinking of studying Teaching as his next challenge.
