Owen Da Gama (born August 18, 1961 in Volksrust, Mpumalanga) is a former South African footballer, currently managing Silver Stars.

During his playing career he spent time with Derry City F.C. of the League of Ireland and Moroka Swallows. Infamous for his 'bum-wiping' goal celebration, he has brought it with him into management and recently got himself into a spot of bother with rival team, Kaizer Chiefs, after performing the ritual after his team scored a fourth goal against them.[1] Da Gama has also scooped the coveted 2005/06 "Coach of the Season" Award at the annual PSL End-of-Season Awards Function.

Silver Stars team to victory in the inaugural Telkom Knockout Cup in South Africa. The Lions of the North defeated Ajax Cape Town 3-1 at the Atteridgeville Super Stadium in Pretoria with Simba Marumo scoring a first-half hat-trick for Da Gama's team.

Da Gama has been tipped as a strong favourite for the assistant coach's position alongside Carlos Alberto Parreira at the helm of the South African national side.
