Overbrook High School is a public four year secondary school located in the West Philadelphia section of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. An inner city school, it is perhaps most well-known because of its famous alumni (listed below).
Overbrook High School is officially designated by the School District of Philadelphia as Location #402, in the West Region. As of 2005, the school principal of Overbrook is Ethelyn Payne Young.
Although the school's population fluctuates, enrollment for 2004-2005 was 2,075 students (grades 9-12). Although some students are White, Asian, or Latino, 99% of the student population is African American [1].
