In regard to your assertion that the page isaac binkovitz meets criteria for speedy deletion, i would like to point out that this article is twice as long as the one that was previously posted, contains corrections of major factual errors, and is overall a completely different article. it seems unfair that you have marked it for speedy deletion so, well, speedily, that there is not yet even a talk page for it, therefore no way to post objections to its consideration for speedy deletion.

There was more wordage, but not more content. He is still as unnoteworthy as he was when the page was originally deleted. It was also clear that the author spelled the name differently to avoid the bots picking up the new article, something that clearly implies some sort of premeditation.
And also, please sign your notes so I can reply on your talk page.

His name was spelled differently because it was misspelled before. I accept the judgement that he's not noteworthy enough and fair, but please don't imply that he or I intentionally abused posting power, because the reposting was 1. an honest attempt to rectify some factual errors and include more relevant content, and 2. not in any way associated with the first article inasmuch as the original poster and I had no communication on the subject prior to the reposting. The article was re-written from scratch with different content by a different person than the first with no premeditation.

Too bad you did so much work for a non-notable bio -

Thanks for adding the template to the Brother-in-law page. You might want to make a user page, too.--Anti-Anonymex2Come to my page! I've gone caliente loco! 20:43, 25 July 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Using lowercase

I would like to notice that before you created the French Curve article, we already had the French curve article. So, I would suggest that in the future you do not use capitals in article titles except for the first letter and other cases requred by grammar (like names, which are obviously capital). Thank you for your addition. Oleg Alexandrov 22:28, 11 August 2005 (UTC)

If you look, you will find that I did not write the article French Curve, I merely removed the reference to its use in Computer drafting, which was innacurate. If you feel it needs additional editing, feel free to do so. --Outlander 11:54, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

Hey you are right! Both you and the contributor before you were redlinks, so I thought it was the same person. :) Sorry. Oleg Alexandrov 12:03, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] milky seas article

Thanks for the entry regarding our milky seas study.

I wanted to make a clarification, but didn't feel right editing the page about my own work.

It's not really correct that "no in-field observation of the phenomenon has been made, so the assertion of bioluminescence is conjectural". One of the coolest aspects of the study, and what really nailed it down, was that a ship was transiting through the region and reported entering and leaving the glowing seas at the exact locations that the boundaries appeared on the satellite. You can see some more info on this page, including a link to the full PDF of the article with a plot of the ship track...

[edit] Wikiproject subproject notification (late, sorry)

Hi Outlanderssc. I'm contacting you because you are a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Sexology and sexuality. This project is inactive but exists. Anyway, I recently created a project Wikipedia:WikiProject Pedophilia which by right ought to be subproject ot Sexology and sexuality. In fact, I was (properly) upbraided for creating this project without consulting the members of WikiProject Sexology and sexuality. (Sorry, I just plain forgot). Anyway, my questions and comments are:

  • Are you still an active member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Sexology and sexuality?
  • Hi! As a member of the (logical) parent project, you are invited to view, contribute to, oversee, and/or join the subproject Wikiproject Pedophilia.
  • Be aware that we have had a difficult birth and are considered by some to be inherently controversial, and may have some future controversies due to the sensitive nature of the material in our purview, although I hope not.
  • In the normal course of things, I would join WikiProject Sexology and sexuality and edit it to include Wikiproject Pedophilia as a subproject. Do you have any objections or comments on that.
  • We are considering renaming Wikipedia:WikiProject Pedophilia to Wikiproject Paraphilia, for various reasons. As a member of the parent project, do you have any thoughts on that?Herostratus 22:32, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Grayson Space Navy

Hi. Some time ago, you proposed the page for Grayson Space Navy for speedy deletion, giving the reason as 'nonsense'. I know this is a long time in asking (...a year? Eeech), but may I ask why? Bengaley 12:06, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
