I think EFP should be merged with this, though I'm not so sure which one should be merged into which.

Not sure about the above, in the UK EFP (and ENG) is a much newer practice and usually refers to productions with fewer cameras than OBs. Certainly the two entries are linked but I feel that they shouldn't be merged. See also Remote in tv terms. Zir 09:34, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

  • OBs are often multi-camera productions, e.g. for live coverage of a football game. EFP is typically high-quality single-camera production, e.g. for drama. ENG is ultra-rapid work for news. As such, the three types of production are done in different ways for different purposes by different people with different skills using different equipment. Therefore the articles should not be merged IMHO. Harumphy 18:09, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
