Outrageous Octagon

"Outrageous Octagon" is the 151st episode of the anime, Dragon Ball. The Japanese uncut version is called "Thanks to Chi-Chi's Bridal Training". This episode occurs during the Piccolo Junior Saga and first aired on April 1, 1989 in Japan. This episode marks the end of Chi-Chi and Goku's search for the Bancho Fan.

Goku and Chi-Chi finally make it to the mountain where the Bancho Fan should be but once they get close to the mountain a huge snow storm begins sending them to an old lady's house named Octopus. She tells them that women aren't allowed up on the mountain or else a snow storm will start. After talking to Octopus for a while she reveals to them that the snow from the mountain can also put out fires so Goku sets off for the fan alone. Menawhile, Pilaf, Shū, and Mai attempt to get on the mountain but yet another snow storm causes their ship to crash on the mountain so they get in their battlesuits. Goku soon shows up to Pilaf's horror. Pilaf, Shū, and Mai attempt to kill Goku with rockets and flamethrowers but the snow storm freezes them before it can even get to Goku. Goku tells them that if a woman is on the mountain it will cause a snow storm so Pilaf kicks Mai off the side of the mountain and the Snow Storm stops. Pilaf and Shū then try to attack Goku but end up just running away. Goku gets a huge ball of snow and is flying back to Chi-Chi but while he is flying the snow melts leaving Goku with a mere snowball. Meanwhile, Octopus is giving Chi-Chi "housewife lessons" in which Chi-Chi must clean her whole house and sweep her backyard. While looking for the dust pan for the broom Chi-Chi discovers the Bancho Fan. Goku, disappointed with his failure, returned to Chi-Chi but Chi-Chi quickly lightens the mood with the fan. Pilaf and his lackeys make one final attempt to get the fan but after seeing the fan's power they run away immediately. Before leaving, Octopus gives Chi-Chi a jar of rare honey from her beehives. Goku and Chi-Chi then leave to save the Ox King. Once There, Goku tries to put out the flames with the Bancho Fan but even the Bancho Fan won't put out the flames thus ending the episode.
