[edit] Out of the Past, part 1

Leech is seen running with something wrapped in his hands while being chased by Lady Deathstrike's goons. Leech escapes, and makes it to Callisto. She unwraps the material and holds some kind of gun in her hand which will apparently give her the utmost power. Just then, Lady Deathstrike herself and her goons arrive in the Morlock's hideout, to take back what was stolen from her. The Morlocks and Lady Deathstrike's henchmen fight amongst each other, only for the Morlocks to lose.

Lady Deathstrike then grabs Leech and starts interrogating him, asking him forcefully why she should spare his life. He tells her that there is "buried treasure" and he tells her which direction to go. After walking through a tunnel, Lady Deathstrike finds a spaceship parked inside a cave. She studies the spaceship, and then scratches it with her fingernails. There is an explosion of green light and it travels through the city.

Back at the mansion, it affects Professor X, absorbing the green light and saying, "Such power... it's like nothing I've ever sensed before." We then cut back to Lady Deathstrike, and she is recovering from the explosion of green light. As she scratched the ship, the spaceship triggered a defence mechanism and it reacted with Lady Deathstrike's cyborg parts. We also discover that the Morlocks could touch it without the defence mechanism being triggered and that adamantium could scratch through the spaceship.

Once again, back at the mansion, Wolverine, Gambit and Jubilee are playing a game of basketball when they receive a message from Leech. Leech tells them it's for Wolverine and that Yuriko (Lady Deathstrike) needs him. Even though Gambit says something is up, Wolvering hesitates and goes while Jubilee and Gambit follow him. We then see a flashback of Wolverine's. He is telling Yuriko that he needs to go on a mission for some people that "you can't say no to", promising her that he would return. Continuing with the flashback, Wolverine is in a helicopter, ready to land when he is ambushed by some soldiers. He jumps back on the helicopter and the helicopter escapes, only for Wolverine to lose grip and fall to the ground. He runs from the soldiers, falls into a trap, and that is where the experiments of inserting adamantium to replace his bones begins. This is where Wolverine first discovers that he has retractable claws and he escapes the facility and comes back for Yuriko, only to find that she has left.

Wolverine, while trying to find Lady Deathstrike, her henchmen ambush him, with Jubilee and Gambit trailing him. Once Wolverine defeat the henchmen, Lady Deathstrike herself makes an appearance and Wolverine is surprised to see her, because of her mutation. She tells her story of becoming a cyborg only to destroy him. Wolverine discovers that the man who developed adamantium was her father, Kenji Oyama (Lord Dark Wind) who died in the explosion while experimenting on him. Lady Deathstrike is about to destroy him when one of her henchmen remind her what Wolverine was called down here for: to open the spaceship.

Lady Deathstrike and her henchmen make their way to the spaceship, with Gambit and Jubliee still close behind. Lady Deathstrike orders Wolverine to open up the spaceship, but he refuses and tackles one of the henchmen. Then, Gambit and Jubilee make their entrance. Wolverine is busy with Lady Deathstrike while Gambit and Jubilee are busy with the henchmen. Lady Deathstrike attacks Wolverine, only to be pushed onto the spaceship itself by Wolverine, also affecting Professor X. Professor X discovers that in the spaceship is a lethal predator, and yells, "Don't open the ship!" Wolverine attacks the ship, letting Lady Deathstrike go and also opening up the ship. It is left on a cliffhanger from there.

[edit] Out of the Past, part 2

In the opening scene, we see the ship open up, and a strange, green, furry-like alien, called the M'Kraan Spirit Drinker reveal itself. All the guns seem ineffective and it finally opens with its own attack: tentacles that come from its mouth, that suck their spirit from its victim, and it shows from their eyes turning green. Gambit attacks the M'Kraan Spirit Drinker, and the alien attacks back, but Jubliee comes just in time and the alien instead grabs Jubliee. Lady Deathstrike, Gambit and Wolverine with Jubliee in his arms escape from the cave. Meanwhile, Beast is seen analysing artwork in a museum and Professor X telepathically calls him to come back to the mansion. They lose the M'Kraan Spirit Drinker for a while, during which time it finds the Morlocks tied up, and, since they're all completely defenseless, drinks up their spirits with ease as they all scream in terror.

The group find a place to rest and Wolverine and Lady Deathstrike are having an argument when the alien burns through the wall and Jubilee is seen in the alien saying "Help me!" We cut to Cyclops and Jean Grey who are out for dinner, and are also called back to the mansion. Cutting back to the sewers, the group is running from the alien when Gambit throws a couple of cards up into the sewer ceiling and stops the alien for a while. Wolverine says he has a plan and tells Gambit to take Jubliee back to the mansion. Wolverine and Lady Deathstrike are cutting away the rocks when they discover that the M'Kraan Spirit Drinker has sunken through the floor only to come back around behind them. Wolverine and Lady Deathstrike defend themselves but Lady Deathstrike eventually has the M'Kraan Spirit Drinker's tentacle wrapped around her leg, sucking her spirit away.

Just as the alien is coming closer, Cyclops fires a laser towards the alien, and the rest of the X-Men arrive. Jean Grey tries to connect with it telepathically but the alien is too strong for her. Cyclops is angered and fires his laser at the alien, but Wolverine tackles him, allowing Cyclops to miss. Cyclops asks why Wolverine did so and he tells him that "A part of a lot people are in there, including Jubilee." The alien escapes once again. Beast asks Wolverine if it really is a spacecraft and Wolverine describes it as "weird." Beast goes to check it out and Professor X comes along. The rest are out to find the alien.

Beast and Professor X enter the ship and says "There must be something we can use against the creature." Professor X has access to the computer and is too entralled in it while Beast goes off on his own. The other X-Men are searching for the alien when Jean Grey gets a telepathic message from Professor X, telling her that the spaceship was an alien prisonship. The alien finally makes it way to the surface and the X-Men find a way to destroy the monster without hurting the spirits inside it. Wolverine must get close to it as scratching it with his claws is the only way to hurt it. The alien retaliates and Wolverine gets injured, but apart of the alien's tentacles fall onto the tracks, exploding. They discover that the electricity in the metal of the train tracks make it explode. Gambit brings out his staff and throws it into the alien, conducting the electricity and making the alien explode altogether. Destroying the alien also releases the spirits and they return to their rightful owners.

Lady Deathstrike is thankful that the X-Men saved her life, but she is still seeking her revenge on Wolverine. The X-Men go back to the spacecraft, and Professor X tells his experience when he touched the spacecraft. He sees visions of war, fearing that is only the beginning.
