Out of the Blue is the debut album by American singer Debbie Gibson, released in 1987 on Atlantic Records. Gibson had released her first self-penned single "Only in My Dreams" the previous year and a different mix of that song was found on this album. The other nine tracks were all written by Gibson herself too. Several producers worked on the album, though Gibson was credited as co-producer on "Out Of The Blue," "Staying Together" and "Wake Up To Love," and sole producer on "Foolish Beat." It made Number 7 on the US Billboard 200 album chart, and Number 26 on the UK album chart. The album became Gibson's best-selling album to date, selling over 3 million copies and was certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA.
