Out of This World (musical)

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Cole Porter's Out of This World debuted on Broadway in 1950. A musical adaptation of Plautus' comedy Amphitryon, the story revolves around the lives of Roman gods Mercury and Jupiter, who are in search of some entertainment of the human kind. The focus of their attention is a young bride, Helen and her husband, Art. Things get interesting when Mercury joins the two on their trip to Athens, intending to put himself between the blushing newlyweds. While the men are busy chasing Helen, Goddess Juno (Jupiter's wife) is playing games of her own.

It's a case of all-powerful Gods against unsuspecting mortals.
