[edit] Plot
Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.
The disappearance of a poultry worker leads Mulder and Scully to Dudley, Arkansas, where it turns out the same congenital disease, Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, is being spread throughout the local community of a factory farm, called Chaco Chicken. The only explanation may be that the villagers are eating each other as part of a cannibalistic cult.
[edit] Info
- Interestingly, this episode references the New Mexican Anasazi tribe, citing them as cannibals. The tribe are referenced again in the following episode as alien abductees.
- The giant sign for the Chaco Chicken factory reads, "Good People, Good Food." This is a perfect business slogan for a cannibal work force.
