[edit] Career

His first major work was Third World California, about the appalling conditions experienced by undocumented immigrants living within an Indian reservation in the California desert. That film debuted in the 22nd Chicago Latino Film Festival in 2006.

At present, Juliano is working on two additional feature-length films. The first, Tree of Music, is a depiction of the plight of the brazilwood, the species of tree that gave Brazil its name, and whose unique red-colored wood is used in the manufacture of bows for fine violins and similar instruments. Its current endangered status represents a serious threat to classical music worldwide. The second film will recount the extreme danger free-diving Brazilian lobster fishermen expose themselves to on a daily basis.
