Ostrów

Ostrów is a Polish name for a river island. It is a speculated etymological cognate of English "Easter" and German "Östern" (seeartikel). It appears in several Polish toponyms.
There are three cities in Poland known as Ostrów:
- Ostrów Lubelski, in the Lublin Voivodship
- Ostrów Mazowiecka, in the Masovian Voivodship
- Ostrów Wielkopolski, in the Greater Poland Voivodship
