Talk:Oskar von Hindenburg
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Rarely have I seen a passage on Wikipedia as POV as the two lengthy paragraphs at the close of this article, to the point that the original editor even openly stated in the article text that the view being expressed was their own. I've cleaned them up, but I'd like someone more familiar with Shirer's work to check through it and make sure that the views being ascribed to him are his own. (I expect they are.) [edit] During WWII
The article really only covers Hindenburg's involvement in Hitler's rise to power. What did he do for the rest of the war? Did he continue to serve as an officer in Germany's armed forces? Can anyone add to this? BLHersey 20:01, 27 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Added several templates and more
I moved around some of the text on this page (basically adding the headers to the sections where it seemed to make sense) and added the templates calling in the NPOV and the lack of citing (and the quotes all seem to come from one source). I don't know enough about the man to know whether or not it is true, but it certainly, as Binabiki80 pointed out, did not read neutral at the time I read it, and just because Shirer wrote it in a book he published does not make it true. qp4 03:48, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
