Oshawa Truck Assembly
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Oshawa Truck Assembly is a General Motors Canada truck factory in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. It opened in 1965, and has produced the Chevrolet/GMC C/K and Chevrolet Silverado/GMC Sierra trucks. It's part of the much larger GM Autoplex, which also includes two car assembly plants and a now closed battery plant. The plant is located next major highway and rail lines, giving it easy access to parts and markets across North America.
The Oshawa Truck plant is currently retooling to produce the next-generation trucks from GM. Production is scheduled to start in October 2006.
